There is a bar at every stage serving ale concocted by local brewers including the very excellent Tractor Shed Brewery located in Workington.
There is an Information Area and a Welfare Tent if you need to chill, some TLC or have lost your best friend!
There is a selection of official and highly desirable merchandise available for purchase from the Information Areas, including T-shirts, mugs and car stickers. Make assure you don’t lose out and grab yourself a memento of the festival to warm the cockles of your heart during the long cold winter months.
Rivendell
Rivendell, the festival site, is located behind the BP service station at Middlemoor on Stainburn road, Workington. The post code is CA14 1SZ. Approaching from Cockermouth, continue on the A66 until the roundabout where the A66 branches off to the Stainburn bypass and the A595 to Whitehaven. Do not take the bypass but go the third exit signposted to Little Clifton. This is Main Road that becomes Stainburn Road. Continue along Stainburn Road until you reach the BP service station at Middlemoor. Drive into the garage and head round the back until you come to the final entrance on your left. This is the entrance to Rivendell. You should see the signs and stewards who will help you onto the site. Drive carefully down the track observing the maximum speed limit of 5 mph.
On Foot
The site is slopey and difficult to negotiate in parts underfoot. Please take care as you move around, particularly in the dark, and be mindful of the fact that some of the paths are shared with vehicles. Please allow these to pass when it is safe to do so. Some of the paths are composed of hardcore but some are made up of exposed surface soil with tree roots making movement awkward in places. Please don’t try running! Try to carry torches or head torches at night.
By Car
There is a strict 5 mph limit on site. Please consider this to be a maximum and understand that there will be occasions when you may have to queue. You are not permitted to park on any of the designated camping areas. You may drive there on arrival in order to unload your tent and gear but you must drive off the camping area immediately and park elsewhere. Please take care and avoid grassy areas if they are muddy.
